InsureTech Connect brings the industry’s best innovators together in Las Vegas
When most of us think of insurance, we picture something traditional. We perhaps imagine someone in a three-piece suit behind a wooden desk in a dark office pontificating about the holy trinity of home, life, and auto. What the leaders of InsureTech Connect want you to picture is a more modern type of insurance broker, one that uses AI to help with investments, to deliver better outcomes at scale to claimants, and even in underwriting. This new breed of insurer understands that not all of today’s assets are physical and knows how to protect digital assets such as cryptocurrency and NFTs.
Taking place this year from Oct. 31-Nov. 2 in Las Vegas, InsureTech Connect is the world’s largest gathering of insurance innovation. It’s been providing a forum for innovations and disruptors in insurance tech since 2016, and this year will welcome more than 10,000 tech entrepreneurs, investors, and insurance industry executives from more than 65 countries.
With its surging popularity, ITC Vegas, presented by McKinsey & Company, has made Trade Show Executive’s Fastest 50 list of the most rapidly growing trade shows in the U.S.
“ITC Vegas is thrilled to be recognized for our continued growth and success as we celebrate the eighth year of the Vegas event and the recent expansion of ITC events to a worldwide audience, including Latin America, Asia, and Europe,” said Bill Harris, ITC’s Chief Revenue Officer. “The 2023 event is poised to be our biggest and best experience yet, and we’re excited to showcase the industry’s best thought leaders and innovations at ITC Vegas this fall.”
InsureTech Connect has also expanded into regional events, including ITC LATAM (held in Miami last April), ITC Asia (held annually in Singapore), and ITC DIA Europe (held in Barcelona last June).
Harris leads global brand expansion, day-to-day event strategy, and partnerships, and is one of the original investors in and co-founders of ITC. Drake Slaikeu-Lawhead serves as Managing Director for the newly launched LATAM event. They partner with Clarion Events to offer unparalleled access to the most creative minds and cutting-edge strategies in insurtech for attendees eager to discover the future of insurance.
“The ITC brand offers an exceptional global opportunity to continue to serve our customers and partners, and I am thrilled to be able to invest in the business and the team,” Clarion North American CEO Greg Topalian said. “As the brand continues to grow, we must ensure to delight and inspire customers by delivering exceptional service and experience, which the event was founded on. I am confident in our leadership team and their look towards the future for the ITC brand.”
Attendees include industry stalwarts such as New York Life, State Farm, and USAA to startups such as Clearcover and Wefox. Panel discussions will include such topics as A Deeper Dive into Generative AI for Insurance featuring The Digital Insurer founder Simon Phipps and Microsoft insurance advisory leader Brook Karen, and The Evolution of Insurance Distribution Channels: From Physical to Digital to Phygital with CEO of eBaoTech Woody Mo and Chubb head of digital acceleration Camila Serna.
Insurtech innovators will be demonstrating their new products throughout the show, and there will be networking meet-up times, informal “fireside” chats, and immersive open-format workshops.
Enhancing the program this year will be a new partnership with startup scouting and open innovation platform Sønr.
“Our job is to help insurance companies innovate better. Over the years we’ve created unparalleled market intelligence, built a world-class services team, and are proud to work with clients across the US, Europe, and APAC. Throughout this journey, there’s been one company I’ve always wanted to partner with – ITC. I’m excited to see what we can now achieve together,” Sønr CEO Matt Connolly said.
Sønr provides customers with regional emerging insurtech lists, among other insights, and representatives will be available to connect with attendees.
“Since we launched ITC, we have been steadfast in our dedication to connecting insurance executives with insurtech leaders, contributing to the adoption of insurtech at scale and creating maximum value for our community globally. Leveraging the intelligence of Sønr helps us take this to a new, unrivaled level,” Harris said.
