Can I revert an automatic WordPress update?

Plugins or themes on your website may not be compatible with a recent update. As a result your website may be down with an error, or it may not look as expected.

The WordPress Autoupdate tool is designed to store a backup of the website before every update for your full peace of mind. If your website was updated by us, you have the option to one-click restore your website from a backup we made right before the most recent update.

To revert an automatic WordPress update go to Site Tools > WordPress > Autoupdate > Autoupdate Settings > Last Backup > Restore.

Note that reverting the update is the quickest way to restore your website to its pre-update working state, however we do not recommend you to stay on the older version for security reasons. We strongly recommend you to create a staging copy of your website, upgrade it to the latest available version and troubleshoot any plugin or theme incompatibilities and issues that may arise.
