Facing the newly restored mausoleum of Caesar Augustus, one of three hotel openings from the luxury brand in 2022 comes to the Eternal City. Augustus boasted of taking over a city of brick and leaving it in marble, and the Bulgari Roma incorporates Travertine marble in its design, hearkening back to that imperial glory. The building is a modernist 1930s structure with a completely revamped interior that features mostly suites among the hotel’s 100-plus rooms.

So, there will be ample opportunity to work off those sumptuous meals.
Opening in April, just in time for beach season on Portugal’s southern coast, the 83 residences and 134 rooms and suites — each with their own balcony — will face the setting sun. Three beaches are within walking distance, and the expansive pool area provides guests ample opportunity to soak up the sun. Usher in the day with sunrise yoga and end it with tapas and craft cocktails at Living Room. In between, the choice is yours.

Guests will be able to lose themselves in time and forge their own histories to add to the island’s legend.

Along with sustainability, Six Senses’ other pillar is wellness, and La Sagesse will deliver with a spa overlooking a lagoon delivering traditional Caribbean treatments utilizing indigenous plants and herbs.
