Romanshika Singh is a Nepali-born media personality specializing in modern media, helping brands and organizations unlock their full potential. As a Multimedia Host, Producer, Marketing and Content Strategist, Speaker, and New Media Enthusiast, she brings a comprehensive and holistic perspective to the media industry.
From writing for established outlets to on-camera hosting, digital content creation, and consulting, Romanshika’s experience covers the full spectrum of media. Her journey—from the hills of Nepal to the limelight of the U.S. media industry—highlights her passion, determination, and visionary outlook on the industry.
A Journey Rooted in Passion for Storytelling
Born and raised in Nepal, Romanshika earned a full-ride scholarship to the U.S. Always drawn to unconventional paths, she auditioned to become a news anchor and was selected from a competitive pool of 80-100 candidates. This experience solidified her belief in the power of storytelling and how media can reach a global audience to create meaningful impact.
“While my friends enjoyed weekends, I was in the studio—on camera, researching, analyzing, and broadcasting. I never felt like I wanted to be anywhere else; that’s when I knew this was what I was meant to do,” she recalls.
Romanshika’s journey led her to experiment with podcasting, creating a show that spotlighted individuals with unconventional career paths. This experience exposed her to the complexities of podcasting such as understanding platform dynamics, jingle creation, editing, research, marketing, and analytics. These self-taught skills unlocked new opportunities, allowing her to help businesses launch successful podcasts and positioning her as an authority in emerging media platforms.
Creating Impactful Content at Harvard Business School
After college, Romanshika joined the Central Marketing and Communication team at Harvard Business School, where she is responsible for creating, editing, and curating both written and video content. One standout project has been the video series “Learning via the Case Method,” featuring interviews with students discussing how case-based learning shapes their problem-solving skills. “For AAPI Heritage Month, I had the opportunity to moderate a book discussion for Bernice Chao’s The Visibility Mindset,” she shares, calling it another highlight of her ongoing work at HBS.
Bringing a Fresh Perspective to WBUR, Boston’s NPR Station
While at Harvard, Romanshika also had the opportunity to collaborate with WBUR, Boston’s NPR station, as an on-camera host and content strategist. At WBUR, she is responsible for strategizing content, interviewing high-profile guests, recording, editing, and evaluating the performance of content across digital platforms. Her “Mini Interviews” series gained notable traction, featuring prominent figures like New York Times bestselling author Tessa Bailey and chef Jon Kung, celebrated for his third-culture cuisine.
“Social media for a radio station sounds odd, right? But that’s exactly the era we’re in,” Romanshika explains. “WBUR had so much untapped potential on social media. My goal was to take their community-driven stories to a broader audience and showcase the power and possibilities of new media platforms.”
Building Community Through Media
Romanshika’s career is deeply rooted in her desire to give back to her community. As an active member of the American Marketing Association (AMA), she mentors young professionals and supports the board with podcast content on emerging media trends. It is such an honor to be part of this organization that gathers media and marketing professionals from all industries—I get to hear about the latest trends and ideas, which keeps me on my toes,” she says.
Her passion for community is also evident in her work with The Great Nepali Diaspora. As a leading member, Romanshika played a crucial role in launching the organization’s podcast, which shares the stories of Nepali professionals globally. “Creating this podcast felt like giving back to my roots. Discovering hidden gems in the community was incredibly rewarding, but the highlight was using my self-taught skills to help the organization establish its platform,” she shares.

New Media’s Growth: Romanshika’s Perspective
“The media landscape is shifting rapidly, moving from traditional sources like newspapers and radio to dynamic digital platforms. With half of the U.S. getting news from social media, it’s clear that new media is integral to our lives. Social media, podcasts, and digital platforms are now essential, and businesses that don’t adapt risk leaving millions of dollars on the table,” Romanshika emphasizes.
Looking to the Future
Romanshika’s mission is to reshape the media landscape with cutting-edge strategies, positioning the next generation to lead the digital era with confidence. “With AI and technology rapidly transforming media, I am dedicated to driving these changes—breaking barriers, highlighting untold stories, and crafting impactful strategies,” she explains. “My vision is to empower future media leaders from diverse backgrounds and provide them with the skills, resources, and guidance they need to excel globally.”
